Fixing 0×80040702 Error

 

Error 0×80040702 usually occurs when you try to install software in your computer. There is no fixed solution for this error. The solution differs from different situations.

 

Symptom One

When you install coreldraw to your computer, you may receive an error resemble that:

Error 0×80040702: can’t locate dll: swcusten (CorelDraw 11-File Not Found)

This error message indicates that the certain dll is not found in the system, thus the installation cannot continue. To solve this error, the missing dll needs to be restored. To do this:

 

1. Click the Start button and select the Search command.
2. Here, click All files and folders.
3. In the All or part of the file name box, type SWcustEN.dll and select the Local Hard Drives option in the Look in list.
4. If file is shown in the search results, copy and paste it in the Windows\System32 folder.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the MCsetup.dllfile.
6. Insert the installation disk of CorelDRAW11 to proceed with the installation.

 The error 0×80040702 can occur when you are trying to reinstall a programme that has been previously installed in your computer. The cause of this error is that some files from previous installation has left in the system and prevent the new installation from being completed.

However, you may have already uninstalled the programme and now you don’t know what to do next. Actually, the add and remove function in windows, in such case, will not be able to remove the old files thoroughly. You will have to refer to professional registry cleaner or uninstaller to get all the old files from your pc.
