What is Data Execution Prevention(DEP)?

 

Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature included in modern operating systems. It can help prevent damage to your computer from viruses and other security threats. It is known to be available in Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems and is intended to prevent an application or service from executing code from a non-executable memory region. 5. Now suppose you have to disable DEP for some executable file, just click on Add, and then select the file to add it in the list and you are done.
