Some computer users have replaced their Internet Explorer with lastest IE9 but then started to get an issue: The web pages always take a long time to load. This issue also is affecting winmail.

IE9 is the latest browser developped by Microsoft, however, it’s reputation is not as good as IE8. This new version is said to have many bugs which may either cause conflicting issue or the slow browsing issue.

To troubleshoot the Slow IE problem, we will need to follow below instructions:

  •  1. Click the Internet Explorer Tools menu, or press Alt-T on your keyboard.
  •  2. Select Manage Add-ons
  •  3. If Toolbar, Toolbar Helper, or Toolbar Notifier BHO is enabled, select each add-on and click Disable.
  •  4. Click Close.

Step 2: Return IE9 to a previous stable version

To return IE9 to previous version, we will just need to uninstall it.

  • 1. Click the Start button , type Programs and Features in the search box, and then click View installed updates in the left pane.
  • 2. Under Uninstall an update, scroll down to the Microsoft Windows section.
  • 3. Right-click Windows Internet Explorer 9, click Uninstall, and then, when prompted, click Yes.
  • 4. Click one of the following:
Restart now (to finish the process of uninstalling Internet Explorer 9 and restore the previous version of Internet Explorer).
    Restart later

Step3: Fix register errors related to Internet Explorer.

If above two steps cannot solve your issue, the slow IE issue may not be caused by IE itself. It is very likely caused by a more serious problem. Virus and malware can corrupt the registry and cause numerous problems in your computer, including the slow IE issue. In fact, 90% of the computer problems are caused by registry issues. So it is always recommended that you install a registry fixer to consistantly protect your IE.
