DNS stands for domain name server. It is a web service that translates domain names, which are alphabetic into IP addresses. Domain names are preferred by users, but the Internet must read them as numerical values, so DNS translates the words into numbers.


Method A:

Method B:


You can try t fix it by yourself but it is a little complicated.

  • 1. Click Start, type “MSCONFIG” in the Search Bar and Press “Enter” to start the System Configuration Utility.
  • 2. Click the “Services” tab, check the “Hide All Microsoft Services” box and click “Disable All”.
  • 3. Click the “Startup” tab, click “Disable All” and click “OK”.
  • 4. Restart the computer and test the issue.
    5. Click the Internet Explorer Tools menu, or press Alt-T on your keyboard.

    6. Select Internet Options.

    7. On the Advanced tab, click Reset.

    8. Select the “Delete personal settings” checkbox.

    9. Click Reset.



Note: Clean Boot is a troubleshooting step. If some programs have been disabled, we can re-enable them later. If you see the System Configuration Utility, check the box of “Don’t show this message” and then click “OK”.
