“Res://ieframe.dll” is a common error in IE 8. It can happen when you try to print from webpage or when you are browsing some websites. The reasons for this issue are multiple, thus there is no fixed solution. To solve the issue, you may try below steps:
Step 1: Re-register the dlls related to Internet Explorer
- Click Start button
- Click Run button or Search box
- Type in below command and press enter
- regsvr32.exe jscript.dll
- regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll
- Reboot computer to see the result
Step 2: Reset Internet Explorer settings
- Click the Internet Explorer Tools menu, or press Alt-T on your keyboard.
- Select Internet Options.
- On the Advanced tab, click Reset.
- Select the “Delete personal settings” checkbox.
- Click Reset.
Step 3: Uninstall and reinstall Internet explorer
For Windows XP
- Exit all programs.
- Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- Click Add or Remove Programs.
- In the list of currently installed programs, click Windows Internet Explorer 8, and then click Remove.
- Follow the instructions to uninstall Internet Explorer 8.
- When the uninstall program is finished, restart your computer.
For Windows Vista and 7:
- Close all programs.
- Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- Under Programs, Click Uninstall a Program.
- In the Task pane, click View installed updates.
- In the list of installed updates, double-click Windows Internet Explorer 8.
- In the Uninstall an update dialog box, click Yes.
- Follow the instructions to uninstall Internet Explorer 8.
- After the program is removed, restart your computer.
