  3. At the command prompt, type sfc /scannow, and then press ENTER. Note If you are prompted for your Windows XP CD, insert the CD into the CD drive.

For Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008
Performe a repair installation to restore the current Windows installation to the version of the installation DVD. 

  1. Close all the running applications .
  2. Insert the Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 DVD in the computer’s DVD drive.
  3. In the Setup window, click Install Now. 
  4. Click Go online to obtain the latest updates for installation (recommended).
  5. Type the CD key if you are prompted to do this.
  6. Select the operating system in “Install Windows” page you want to Upgrade or Inplace.
  7. Click Yes to accept the Microsoft Software License Terms.
  8. On the Which type of installation do you want? screen, click Upgrade.
  9. When the installation is complete, restart your computer, and then try to install the updates.

If you have seen an error that User32.dll cannot be found, it is very possible that you already have problem in managing windows. To solve this problem, you will need to get user32.dll back to your system. There are three solutions to restore your user32.dll back:

 

First, install the latest windows update. Normally, the windows update will fix some bugs and errors in the current system. Fix DVD Drive Not Reading Problem by Yourself

Bought some new DVDs and CDs but find the DVD drive not reading the disc anymore? Purchased a new DVD drive but after inserting it into the computer, it is not shown in device manager at all? 7. Click plus sign (or arrow) next to Class
8. In the left hand window pane click {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} to select that key
9. In the right hand window pane select the UpperFilters registry key and press the delete key on the keyboard Confirm with an OK
10. In the right hand window pane select the LowerFilters registry key and press the delete key on the keyboard Confirm with an OK
11. Close the registry edit window.
12. Open the device manager window Tap (Window key (flag key on the keyboard) and R key on the keyboard, at once) Type in devmgmt.msc
13. Expand DVD/CD-ROM Drives and right click on the device and select uninstall.
14. After uninstalling, plese click on the system icon on the top and select scan for new hardware changes. 

NOTE: Editing registry by yourself may cause mistake and serious injure to computer system. If you are not familiar with it, you’d better get a registry cleaner to help you. It is much more safer and will not cause harm to your system.
