Sleep mode refers to a low power mode for electronic devices such as computers, televisions, and remote controlled devices. These modes save significant electrical consumption compared to leaving a device fully on and idle, but allow the user to avoid having to reset programming codes or wait for a machine to reboot. Many devices signify this power mode by a pulsing LED power light.
The sleep mode on computers turns off all the nonessential hardware and applications installed on a system, reducing the amount of electricity the computer uses. However, when using a laptop in conjunction with a USB mouse, you may find the computer does not emerge from sleep mode when using the mouse. Fixing this issue is fairly easy.
Instructions:
3, Click on the “Mice and other pointing devices” option, then right-click the USB mouse and select “Properties.”
4, Choose “Power Management” and click the “Allow this device to wake the computer” check-box option. Approve the changes by selecting “OK.” This accepts the changes, and now the mouse can wake the laptop the next time it enters sleep mode.
