Sync Center is a feature of Windows that enables you to keep information in sync between your computer and:

• Files stored in folders on network servers. These are called offline files because you can access them even when your computer or the server is not connected to the network.
• Certain mobile devices that are compatible with Sync Center. These are devices you plug in to your computer or you connect wirelessly to (such as portable music players, digital cameras, and mobile phones)

But sometimes, when you do the sync, you may get an error as below:

The specified network name is no longer available

A sync error is a problem that usually keeps sync from being completed, such as a mobile device that is not plugged in or turned on when you try to sync with it, or a server that is unavailable. Sync errors usually occur when there is a problem with the device, computer, folder, or web service you are trying to sync with.

To solve this issue, you have to :

First, check your mobile devices to see if they are firmly plugged in.

Second, change offline files setting in your system.

a. Click Start button, input “Manage offline files” and hit Enter
b. In General tab, click Disable offline files
c. Click Disk Usage and check if the temporary files have filled the space available. Try to delete the temporary files. (Depending on your disk, you change the limits)
d. Click Network tab, verify the numeric for checking as a try.
e. Then click Apply, and click Enable the Offline files

Third, download a registry cleaner to clean your registry errors.

Sync error can also occur when there is registry errors. Such errors may cause the system not recognizing the mobile device or being able to read the files in the computer. So you have to clean the errors before you sync again. Open the registry cleaner, click quick scan and after the registry errors are deteced, click repair all.

Second, edit your registry by below instructions:

1. Click Start.
   In the Start Search field, type regedit.exe and then press Enter.

   If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or clickAllow.

2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\TrayNotify
3. In the Details pane, click the IconStreams registry entry.
4. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click Yes.
5. In the Details pane, click the PastIconsStream registry entry.
6. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click Yes.
7. Exit Registry Editor.
8. Restart the Explorer.exe process. To do these, follow these steps:
   1. Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.
   2. On the Processes tab in Task Manager, click the explorer.exe process, and then clickEnd Process two times.
   3. On the File menu, click New Tasks (Run), type explorer, and then click OK.
   4. Exit Task Manager.
9. Once Explorer.exe has restarted, right click on the clock and choose “Customize Notification Icons”.
10. Ensure that Power is set to “Show icon and notifications”.
11. Click on “Turn system icons on or off”
12. Ensure that Power is set to “On”.
13. Click on OK and close the Control Panel.

Third, download a registry fixer to fix it automatically.

Bootmgr error message offen occurs when you startup computer. This message usually indicates that the boot sector is damaged or missing. Bootmgr is missing. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart.

Method 1: Restore your system to previous working state

1. Turn on the computer. Hit the “F8″ key until a screen named “Windows Advance Options Menu” displays.

4. Choose a restore point. Follow the prompts to restart the computer. If you still get an error, return to the “System Restore” tool and choose an earlier restore date.

Method 2: Use windows repair CD to replace corrupted file.

1. Insert the Windows installation disc into the disc drive, and then start the computer.
2. Press a key when the message indicating “Press any key to boot from CD or DVD …“. appears.
3. Select a language, a time and currency, and a keyboard or input method, and then click Next.
4. Click Repair your computer.
5. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, choose the drive of your Windows installation and clickNext.
6. At the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Repair your computer.
7. Click the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next.
8. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Startup Repair.

Method 3: download a registry cleaner to fix the issue.

The bootmgr problem may be caused by registry error which blocks the boot sector from beling recognized and the error is then generated. How to solve this issue?

Method 1: Disable add-ons.

• Open Internet Explorer or IE.

Method 2:  Reset Internet Explorer settings

•    3. On the Advanced tab, click Reset.
•    4. Select the “Delete personal settings” checkbox.
•    5. Click Reset.
•    6. If you still don’t see the Toolbar, try the steps above again to re-enable add-ons and the Toolbar.
